Founded in 1921, the Council on Foreign Relations is a leading nonprofit membership organization, research center, and publisher, with headquarters in NY, offices in Washington, D.C., and programs nationwide. It is dedicated to increasing America's understanding of the world and contributing ideas to U.S. foreign policy. The Council's 4,300 members are the leading scholars and practitioners in international affairs and foreign policy. The Council also publishes Foreign Affairs, the preeminent journal on global issues. The Council is host to the widest possible range of views, but an advocate of none.
The Meetings Program provides members in New York with the opportunity to exchange ideas with international policymakers, opinion shapers, and respected experts on international affairs and U.S. foreign policy. Each year, the New York Meetings Program convenes over 150 programs including panel discussions, single-speaker events with high level foreign and U.S. officials, film screenings, conference calls, videoconferenced events, and major conferences and symposia.

Founded in 1921, the Council on Foreign Relations is the nation's premier foreign policy organization. It is dedicated to improving understanding of U.S. foreign policy. CFR does this by convening events with prominent world leaders, through cutting-edge research, through publishing the preeminent foreign policy publication, Foreign Affairs, and through its award-winning website, cfr.org, considered one of the best resources for on-line foreign policy information. CFR is headquartered in New York with a new state-of-the-art office in Washington, DC located only two blocks from the White House.
The Corporate Program, which is part of the Membership, Fellowship, and Corporate Affairs (MFCA) department, is CFR's primary point of contact with the private sector. It offers a unique forum for executives from 200 leading businesses and financial firms to explore issues at the nexus of business and foreign policy. CFR's Corporate Affairs team serves member companies from bases in New York and Washington. Corporate members are offered a multitude of benefits including an array of programming options from conference calls to roundtable discussions and general meetings. The DC Corporate Affairs Program Associate will work with other members of the Corporate Affairs team, MFCA, and other CFR staff, to ensure those benefits and services are effectively provided.
