The Council on Foreign Relations relies upon charitable contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support ongoing programs and new initiatives each year. Maintaining the quality and variety of the work and programs for which the Council is known requires a steady stream of independent support from a variety of sources.
The Council welcomes contributions for general support through its Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund are the most valuable gifts received by the Council, as they can be used for a variety of purposes across the organization, ranging from funding the meetings program to providing salary support for our fellows and staff to supporting member services. To make your Annual Fund donation online, please click here.
You can also support a specific program such as a Task Force or lecture; the Council’s unrestricted endowment fund; or endow a specific chair, fellowship, or program. Endowment gifts can also be made by bequest or other testamentary gift to ensure the Council’s permanence, independence, and excellence for the future.
Contributions can be made by check (made payable to the Council on Foreign Relations), credit card, wire transfer, or a stock gift. Annual Fund contributions can also be made online.
