International Affairs Fellow
Darrell W. Driver is a major and strategic plans and policy officer in the U.S. Army. He is currently serving as the director of plans and strategy for the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch, Germany. His previous assignment was assistant professor of political science at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York. At the Marshall Center and West Point, Major Driver taught courses in national security strategy, american politics, and public policy. His publications include articles and book chapters in the areas of political science education, civil-military relations, and defense policy. He holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana (1994) and an MA (2002) and PhD (2006) in political science from Syracuse University. Major Driver’s early Army assignments were as an infantry officer, serving in the Army's 25th Infantry Division in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and in the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Major Driver currently lives in Garmisch, Germany, with his spouse and two sons.
