International Affairs Fellow
Laura Wilson Phelan is vice president for country relations for Teach For All, the new international arm of Teach For America. Prior to her tenure there, she served as senior adviser to the director of U.S. foreign assistance at the Department of State. Phelan’s ten years of international experience include programmatic and political strategy roles at the U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S. House of Representatives, Peace Corps, and Washington think tank community. Phelan began her U.S. government career as a presidential management fellow. She holds an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia and a Teach For America corps member in inner-city California.
