International Affairs Fellow
Dakota S. Rudesill is a law clerk to the Honorable James B. Loken, chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He received a BA from Saint Olaf College and an JD from Yale. His previous professional experience includes service as principal national security budget analyst for the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, legislative assistant for defense and foreign policy for Senator Kent Conrad (D-ND), and visiting fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Mr. Rudesill has also been a law firm associate, consulted for the private sector on Air Force and Navy strike programs, briefed the U.S. military at the combatant commander level, and published on national security policy and legal issues. He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
