Ms. House is former senior vice president of Dow Jones & Company and publisher of the Wall Street Journal. Most of her 32-year career at the Journal as a reporter, editor and executive focused on international affairs. She served as diplomatic correspondent, foreign editor and President of Dow Jones’ international operations prior to becoming publisher in July 2002. Following joining the Journal in 1974, she won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize in international reporting (1984) and the Overseas Press Club’s Bob Considine Award for best daily newspaper interpretation of foreign affairs (1984 and 1988). Ms. House is a trustee of RAND and also served on the Council’s Board of Directors from 1987 to 1998.
