Mr. Lampreia is the vice chairman of the Brazilian Center for International Affairs (CEBRI). He was Brazil's minister of state for foreign relations from 1995 to 2001. He has held a number of government positions, including permanent representative to the international organizations in Geneva (1993-1994), secretary-general of the ministry of foreign relations (1992-1993), and under-secretary general for political affairs (1988-1990).
