Mr. Kobayashi is chief corporate adviser of Fuji Xerox Company, Ltd. He joined Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. in 1958, and subsequently held numerous senior posts at Fuji Xerox until assuming the chairmanship in 1992. He serves on the boards of Callaway Golf Company, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), Sony Corporation, and American Productivity & Quality Center. He is a life-time trustee of Keizai Doyukai (Japan Association of Corporate Executives), Pacific Asia chairman of the Trilateral Commission, and chairman of the Aspen Institute Japan.
