Steven Brock is a Commander in the U.S. Navy and currently the Chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency Forward Operating Base Europe Berlin Detachment, where he serves as a liaison with the German government on matters of intelligence. Previously, he was a Navy Federal Executive Fellow at RAND Corporation. From 2002 to 2004, he served as the Senior Analyst for the Commander, United States Seventh Fleet, and from 1999 to 2002 he served as a military adviser to the Permanent Representative to the UN, advising on Security Councilmandated operations in Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. He also served as the UN liaison for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense and managed the U.S. intelligence communitys program for intelligence-sharing with the UN. He has worked in the United States Navys Office of Naval Intelligence, at the NATO Combined Air Operations Center in Italy, and with Carrier Airwing Nine, USS Nimitz. Commander Brock received his B.S. from the United States Naval Academy, and his M.A. in National Security Studies from Georgetown University. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
