Climate Stewardship and Innovation Act of 2007 (S. 280, Proposed)

This proposed bill would establish a "market-driven system of greenhouse gas tradeable allowances" to aid in deploying new technologies related to climate change. It would place limits on greenhouse gas emissions beginning in 2012 with stronger limits in 2020, 2030, and 2050. A variant of this bill was introduced in the House on January 22, 2007.
