Bio

Jeanne Hull is the international affairs fellow in residence. Hull joins CFR from the U. S. Army, where she served twelve years as a military intelligence officer. She previously worked in intelligence and operational units that addressed topics ranging from counterterrorism in Bosnia to counterinsurgency and reconciliation in Iraq. She was an assistant professor of International Relations at the U. S. Military Academy from 2009 through 2011. At the Council on Foreign Relations she is conducting a comparative analysis of street gang activity and counter-gang activity in the United States and Mexico. Her goal is to identify the relationship between street gang proliferation and activity, and the strength of the state's rule of law system and the level of democratization. She holds a BS in history from the U.S. Military Academy and an MPA from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
