The Task Force offers a qualified endorsement of President Obama's approach to Afghanistan, but says that if the December 2010 review concludes that the present strategy is not working, a shift to a more limited mission would be warranted. The Task Force also emphasizes the need for a new approach to Afghan political reform, reconciliation, and regional diplomacy.
