Carie Lemack is the cofounder of Global Survivors Network (GSN), a global organization for victims of terror to speak out against terrorism and radicalization. Since launching GSN in November 2009, she has coordinated and inspired events in Jordan, Pakistan, and Indonesia, produced an award-winning documentary film Killing in the Name, spearheaded a website, www.globalsurvivors.org, and generated interest and coverage in media outlets worldwide.
Ms. Lemack cofounded and led the non-profit, non-partisan organization Families of September 11 after her mother, Judy Larocque, was killed on AA Flight 11 that terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center.
Carie received a masters in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in June 2006 after receiving an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2004. She graduated from Stanford University in 1997 with a bachelor of science degree in symbolic systems. She is a visiting fellow at the Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation, a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations, and a lifelong member of Red Sox nation.
