Frederick Smith is chairman, president, and chief executive officer of FedEx Corporation and is responsible for providing strategic direction for all FedEx Corporation operating companies, including FedEx Services, FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, and FedEx Freight. Mr. Smith has, in the past, served as a director of five other major public companies. Mr. Smith is a member of the Business Roundtable, the Business Council, and is co-chairman of the Energy Security Leadership Council. He has served as chairman of the U.S.-China Business Council and the French-American Business Council. He is the past chairman of the International Air Transport Association and of the Executive Committee of the U.S. Air Transport Association. He was the co-chairman of the World War II Memorial Campaign and served as an officer in the U.S. Marines from 1966 to 1970. He is based in Memphis, TN.
