Peter Henry is the dean of New York University's Stern School of Business, where he is also the Berkley professor of economics and finance. Dr. Henry is best known for a series of articles that overturned conventional wisdom on debt relief, international capital flows, and the role of institutions in economic growth. Dr. Henry was appointed head of the external economics advisory group for Barack Obama's presidential campaign, and was chosen to lead the president's transition team's review of lending agencies. He was appointed to the Presidential Commission on White House Fellows in May of 2009. Dr. Henry is a member of the boards of Kraft Foods and the National Bureau of Economic Research and is a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. He is based in New York, NY.
