Stephen Friedman
Chairman, Stone Point Capital
Stephen Friedman is chairman of Stone Point Capital, a private equity firm which he joined in 1998. From December 2002 to December 2004, he served as assistant to President George W. Bush for economic policy and as director of the National Economic Council. Mr. Friedman is currently a board member of the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. and is a trustee of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Aspen Institute. Previously, he was chairman of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board, the Intelligence Oversight Board, and Goldman Sachs & Company. He has also served as chairman of both the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and of the board of trustees of Columbia University. He is based in New York, NY.
