Nuclear Verification; The Conclusion of Safeguards Agreements and Additional Protocols

Referring to its desire to expand civil nuclear cooperation with other Member States of the Agency and to the relevance in this context of the understanding between India and the United States of America expressed in the India-U.S. Joint Statement of 18 July 2005, the Government of India requested the Agency to conclude with it an agreement for the application of safeguards with respect
to its civilian nuclear facilities.
