UN Security Council Resolution 209, Kashmir

Large skirmishes along Kashmir’s ceasefire line in 1965 resulted in the Secretary-General calling for India and Pakistan to return to an observance of the ceasefire. Resolution 209 called for ceasefire and full cooperation with UNMOGIP; it was the first of many resolutions in 1965 that attempted to deal with the conflict.
