In a meeting with CFR members, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov plays down recent tensions between Russia and the West, urging Western leaders to focus on more pressing global problems, especially nuclear proliferation. Asked about Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's role in the government, Lavrov affirms that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is in charge of the country's foreign policy, and offers insights into Medvedev's top foreign policy goals.
