“Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons looks unstoppable. But to prevent Iran from building the bomb, the United States should make a bold move: Repair its damaged relationship with Tehran and try to undercut Iran’s motivation for gaining nuclear weapons.

While the Bush administration has resisted talking with Tehran directly on most contentious issues, both sides have shown recently that they are willing to discuss Iraq, a subject of mutual interest.”
