National Preparedness System, November 2011

The Department of Homeland Security published this report in November, 2011. The preparedness system plan is part of Presidential Policy Directive 8 regarding national preparedness, and is "designed to guide domestic efforts of all levels of government, the private and nonprofit sectors and the public, the National Preparedness System includes guidance for planning, organization, equipment, training and exercises needed to build and maintain domestic capabilities in support of the National Preparedness Goal."

OECD: Protection of "Critical Infrastructure" and the Role of Investment Policies Relating to National Security

The OECD published this report in May 2008, to guide discussions at the Freedom of Investment Roundtables. These roundtables began in 2006 to provide "a forum for intergovernmental dialogue on how governments can reconcile the need to preserve and expand an open international investment environment with their duty to safeguard the essential security interests of their people."
