2009 Election Manifesto of the Democratic Party of Japan

Japan's opposition party, the Democratic Party of Japan, released this platform in late July, 2009, prior to the August 30 elections. The platform addresses "five pledges": government spending, childrearing and education, pensions and medical care, regional sovereignty, and employment/economy.
