Convention for the Establishment of an Interamerican Tropical Tuna Commission

This convention established the Interamerican Tropical Tuna Commission and charged it with the conservation and management of tuna and other species as fished by tuna-fishing vessels. It covers the region of the eastern Pacific Ocean. It was signed in Washington on May 31, 1949 and entered into force on March 3, 1950.
