Slate: Meet the Narcos

Author: Susana Seijas
April 14, 2009

Susana Seijas chronicles the Mexican government's history with certain notorious narcotics traffickers.

Excerpt: Severed heads rolled into a packed nightclub. A headless body found hanging from a bridge. An army general tortured and killed. An anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped.
