Agreement
This agreement between Norway, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands was signed at Nuuk, Greeland on April 9, 1992 and entered into force on July 7, 1992. The treaty established the North Atlantic Marine Mammal Commission. The agreement states, “the objective of the Commission shall be to contribute through regional consultation and cooperation to the conservation, rational management and study of marine mammals in the North Atlantic".
