Written, directed and executive produced by acclaimed director Raoul Peck, the film’s epic canvas follows a family torn apart by the Rwandan genocide. It also explores the world’s response to the atrocities and chronicles Rwanda’s struggle to find justice and accountability ten years later. The HBO Films presentation is the first major film retelling the tragedy of the 100 days of the 1994 genocide to be shot on location in Rwanda where the real-life events transpired.
