UN Monitoring Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) replaced the UN Special Commission under Security Council , adopted December 17, 1999. The compendium, published in June 2007, collected UN inspectors' knowledge on Iraq's chemical, biological, and missile weapons. UNMOVIC was terminated on June 29, 2007, by Security Council resolution 1762.
The compendium contains eight chapters, which detail the process of creating the commission, what inspectors learned about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs, and lessons learned from the process. See the UNMOVIC website for quarterly and technical reports, related UN resolutions, and other important documents and background about the history of the commission.
