David Makovsky, senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and director of its Project on the Middle East Peace Process, talks to CFR.org's Esther Pan about the July 12 Hezbollah attack on an Israeli border station. The raid, which left at least three soldiers dead and two abducted by the militant group, prompted an Israeli incursion into Lebanon amid fears that the conflict could spread and engulf the region.
