Independent prosecutor Lawrence E. Walsh, in charge of a six-year investigation into the Iran-Contra affair, concluded in this report that President Ronald Reagan and "Reagan Administration officials deliberately deceived the Congress and the public about the level and extent of official knowledge of and support for these operations".
