  Department of Justice Inspector General's Report on the FBI's Use of National Security Letters, March 2007

  This Department of Justice report finds that the FBI underreported use of its national security letters in seeking information on possible terrorism cases. The letters were used in a manner found to be "in violation of applicate NSL standards, Attorney General Guidelines, and internal FBI policies".
