  Ethiopia Democracy and Accountability Act of 2007 (H.R. 2003)

  Published October 3, 2007

  This bill discusses support to Ethiopia but also enables the U.S. government to withhold aid to the country unless it engages in human rights reforms including increased freedom of press, the release of political prisoners and independence of the judiciary. It also enforces a travel ban to the U.S. on Ethiopian officials and security personnel involved in human rights abuses.
