  Draft Treaty amending the Treaty on European Union and the Treaty establishing the European Community

  Published October 19, 2007

  The text of this proposed EU Reform Treaty was agreed upon on October 19, 2007, after a basic agreement had been reached in June 2007. It is due to be signed by European leaders in December 2007. After ratification, it is hoped that the treaty will come into force on January 1, 2009.
