Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (D-DE) discusses his recent trip to Afghanistan and Pakistan, calling Afghanistan the forgotten war. He says the consequences of failure in Afghanistan are significant. Biden notes the next president of the United States will have to rally the American people and the world to fight the militants at the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Biden also says “Pakistani cooperation in the fight against extremism is critical” to success in Afghanistan “but that cooperation has been sporadic at best.”
