Speaking at CFR, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown discusses the global financial crisis and how the United States, Britain, and other countries can work together to mitigate its negative effects. Brown focuses on how the present environment has heightened fears about globalization and encourages world leaders to take an expansive view toward trade and economics, adding that Barack Obama should work toward a global trade deal following his inauguration. Brown also discusses how financial regulation can be improved, both nationally and internationally.
