UN Security Council Resolution 1172 called for India and Pakistan to refrain from further nuclear tests in light of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban treaty, and called on other countries to stop the exportation of materials/technology that might aid either country in the production of weapons. It was adopted on June 6, 1998.
