CFR Live Troubleshooting

If you are having problems viewing a CFR Live meeting, the following information may help you troubleshoot. For further questions or to give feedback, please email webmaster@cfr.org.

The live video will not play.
If you visited the page before the meeting started, you might need to refresh the page in order to start the live stream. If YouTube is blocked by your service provider, you might not be able to watch the stream. For further troubleshooting, visit YouTube's support page. If the problem continues, email webmaster@cfr.org.

The live video keeps freezing while I am watching it.
If your video is freezing, you might not have enough memory or bandwidth to support the live feed. Try closing out of other applications running on your computer. For further troubleshooting, visit YouTube's support page. If the problem continues, email webmaster@cfr.org.

The live video is playing, but there is no sound.
You will not hear audio until the moderator begins the meeting. Until then, their microphones are muted. If the speakers are on stage and there is still no sound, make sure your computer's speakers are on, and the volume is turned up. For further troubleshooting, visit YouTube's support page. If the problem continues, email webmaster@cfr.org.

I cannot view the video on my mobile device.
YouTube Live is Flash-based. If your mobile device does not support Flash, you will not be able to view the live video stream. After the meeting ends, you may view it in your mobile browser by going to CFR's Event Video page or to CFR's YouTube channel.
