Trita Parsi interviewed by Bernard Gwertzman, Consulting Editor
Trita Parsi, president of the National Iranian American Council and a specialist on Iranian foreign affairs at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, says there is little likelihood of ending the crisis over Iran's nuclear program unless there are direct talks between the United States and Iran. He says the Iranian nuclear program is "primarily driven by the Iranian threat perception of the United States."
