Walter Russell Mead, Henry A. Kissinger Senior Fellow, Council on Foreign Relations interviewed by Bernard Gwertzman, Consulting Editor, The Council on Foreign Relations
Walter Russell Mead, a leading American historian, says that President Bush’s record in foreign policy has improved a bit in the second term, recovering traditional ground in Europe, and now showing some progress in Iraq. He says in the Middle East, as a whole, the administration has lacked proper follow-through.
