Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China

The Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China is Hong Kong's constitutional document and it describes Hong Kong's and China's systems of government, the "One Country, Two Systems" concept. The National People's Congress of China adopted the Basic Law on April 4, 1990 and it went into effect on July 1, 1997.
