UN Human Rights Commission Resolution: Combating Defamation of Religions

UN Human Rights Commission adopted several resolutions on combating defamation of religions since 1999. Resolution 4/9 adopted on March 30, 2007 requires a report on the Human Rights Commission's activities on this issue. On March 24, 2011, the UN passed resolution 16/18, which prohibited discrimination and violence against people because of their religion or beliefs.
