Pamela B. Gann is trustee professor of legal studies and George R. Roberts fellow, and senior fellow of the Kravis Leadership Institute at Claremont McKenna College. Previously, Dr. Gann served for 14 years as president of Claremont McKenna College and for 11 years as the dean of Duke University School of Law. She has an extensive background in international education, including teaching American law and international trade in China, France, Denmark, at the Salzburg Seminar, and at an intensive training session in Hanoi for 100 Vietnam government officials in preparation for bilateral trade agreement negotiations. She is an expert on global higher education and has established numerous joint programs between U.S. and non-U.S. universities. Her academic fields are U.S. foreign policy and international economic law, including international trade, investments, and taxation, and law and economics of higher education and the non-profit sector. Dr. Gann serves on the boards of the International Education of Students Abroad and the Committee for Economic Development. She is a member of the American Law Institute and an elected fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She was previously an International Affairs Fellow at the Council. She is based in Claremont, CA.
