Terrorism Act, 2006 (UK)

Published April 13, 2006

Spurred along after the July 7 bomb attacks in London, this legislation outlaws any act that "glorifies the commission or preparation...of terrorism or Convention offences". Other acts considered punishable offenses include giving or receiving terrorist training and distributing or selling terrorist publications. The law also allows terror suspects to be detained for 28 days without charge.
