Book Happenings

My book The Power Surge: Energy, Opportunity, and the Battle for America’s Future will be published next Thursday. Below you’ll find a current listing of public events for the book. But first a request: I know that many readers of this blog have bought or received early copies of the book. If you liked it, and think others would too, I urge you to post a review on Amazon. It turns out that those matter a lot; I’ll be most grateful to anyone who takes a few minutes to do that. And now on to the events (all links below are to events pages with further information)…

May 2, Washington, DC: “The Power Surge”. I’ll be in conversation with Steve LeVine at the New America Foundation. This is the first event squarely about the book.

May 9, New York, NY: “In Print featuring Michael Levi – The Power Surge”. I’ll speak with former Foreign Affairs editor (and great reader) Jim Hoge about the book.

May 29, Calgary, AB: “Is Canada Becoming an Energy Superpower?”. A debate (I mostly say no) involving Ed Morse, myself, and a couple others. Not quite about the book, but I’m sure we’ll get into some closely related issues.

June 18, Dallas, TX: Details to come.

June 19, Houston, TX: “The Power Surge: Energy, Opportunity, and the Battle for America’s Future”.

June 20, San Francisco, CA: Details to come.

More cities and dates are in the works. I’ll also be doing some less-public speaking, at the Milken Global Conference, Aspen Ideas Festival, and the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, DC, and elsewhere. I hope to see some blog readers at these events!
