CFR’s Robert Danin says the Arab League’s move to suspend Syria opens the door for greater action by the international community. Danin recommends that the United States partner with the members of the Arab League that have broken with Syria and other interested parties to support the Syrian opposition. Danin also says the United States should pursue action through the International Criminal Court as well as additional sanctions through the UN Security Council.
