Lisa Monaco is a distinguished senior fellow at the NYU School of Law's Reiss Center on Law and Security. She previously served as homeland security and counterterrorism advisor in the Barack Obama administration. Monaco also served in the Department of Justice as the former assistant attorney general for national security, the first woman to serve in that position.
