To further its commitment to climate education, CFR Education has partnered with Coursera, one of the largest online learning platforms, to launch a three-part online Specialization, Climate Change and Global Affairs: Navigating a Warming World. The three courses—The Basics, Mitigation and Adaptation, and Policy Obstacles and Opportunities—went live yesterday in time for Earth Day.

“Earth Day is a powerful reminder of the vital role education plays in addressing the changing climate and advancing global sustainability,” said Marni Baker Stein, chief content officer of Coursera. “We’re proud to partner with CFR to make trusted, expert-led content on climate more accessible—and look forward to seeing how their growing catalog of online content helps learners gain the skills and knowledge needed to solve the world’s most pressing issues.”

The courses can be taken asynchronously on a learner’s own time, either individually or together as a Specialization. While anyone can audit the courses at no cost, learners can choose to pay a nominal fee to receive a certificate of completion from CFR. The content will be available to learners worldwide, including those accessing Coursera through their employer, university, or government.
