Virtual Sessions
Wondering how to get started? Try our introductory virtual webinars for high school educators on teaching global affairs. All webinars are virtual, free, and one hour in length.
In-person Sessions
Looking for new strategies to enhance your teachers’ social studies curriculum with a global lens (e.g., AP, IB, world history, U.S. history, civics, economics) at back-to-school days and professional conference days? Teachers will learn new strategies, tools, and resources they can use immediately to make global affairs more relevant and engaging for students in a variety of social studies subjects. In-person sessions range from a few hours to a full day.
Custom Workshops
Teachers will learn how to incorporate global affairs content into the classes they already teach. Workshops include time for teachers to work together on lesson or unit plans and receive feedback. These half-day or full-day workshops are offered in person.
Ongoing Professional Learning
Our professional learning continues well beyond the initial in-person session or webinar. Each engagement is followed by three to four virtual sessions throughout the school year, giving teachers an ongoing opportunity to share their successes, work through challenges, and apply what they’ve learned in real time. Depending on your state and district, this continued participation may also count toward continuing education credits.
