Program Assistant, Fellowship Affairs
The Council on Foreign Relation’s (CFR) David Rockefeller Studies Program is one of the country’s largest foreign policy think tanks with a widely respected and influential research staff. The Studies Program aims to advance the discussion of American foreign policy and international affairs through its writing, publications, public outreach, and discussions.
CFR’s Fellowship Program offers unique opportunities for mid-career professionals focusing on international relations. The program affords fellows the opportunity to broaden their perspective of foreign affairs and to pursue proposed research, with a placement at CFR or another institution in New York City, Washington, DC, or select international locations. The program assistant will be part of a dynamic team and will work with the director of fellowship affairs to help support the wide range of fellowship activities.
Senior Video Producer
The Senior Video Producer will use their strong news judgment to create visually compelling, story-driven video products across social and digital platforms. This role requires experience in the end-to-end video production lifecycle including producing, writing, and editing short-form documentaries, social explainers, motion graphics, and video podcasts.
Senior Fellow and Director of the Maurice R. Greenberg Center for Geoeconomic Studies
The David Rockefeller Studies Program at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is seeking to hire a senior fellow to direct its Maurice R. Greenberg Center for Geoeconomic Studies. The center works to promote a better understanding of how economic and geopolitical forces interact to shape the world.
In this role, the director will broadly guide the center’s work, including the Reimagining American Economic Leadership (RealEcon) project—which examines the role of the United States in the international economy—among others. The director will work collaboratively across the institution, with many scholars, with heads of the Council’s other major research efforts, and with departments across the organization dedicated to the promotion of CFR’s world-class research and analysis with constituencies ranging from policymakers to the general public.

The Assistant Editor, David M. Rubenstein Editorial Fellow has substantial responsibilities and is involved in all aspects of Foreign Affairs’ editorial process. Previous assistant editors have gone on to careers in a variety of fields, including journalism, academia, and government.
Audio Visual Production Coordinator (Event Graphics)
The Audio Visual (AV) team at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is seeking an AV Production Coordinator (Event Graphics) to support high-quality event execution across CFR’s New York and Washington D.C. offices. This role is responsible for creating graphics and design, including, but not limited to, Zoom and YouTube meeting design, digital signage and PowerPoint presentations for internal meetings and external rental events. The coordinator will also assist with the audio visual set up and operations to ensure seamless event delivery.

The David Rockefeller Studies Program at CFR is seeking to hire a Research Fellow to conduct original research and contribute to advancing CFR's work on AI and digital governance under a new program.
Program Associate, State and Local Officials Initiative
CFR Outreach works to raise the profile of CFR and develop relationships with communities across the United States. Current initiatives focus on college and university students, educators, and administrators; state and local officials; local journalists; and congregational leaders and representatives of faith-based organizations.
Under the direction of the State and Local Officials Initiative lead and the vice president and director of the National Program and Outreach department, the program associate supports the work of the State and Local Officials Initiative, which builds relationships and provides programming, forums for discussion and the sharing of best practices, and resources for elected officials across the country.
Program Associate, Local Journalists Initiative
CFR Outreach works to raise the profile of CFR and develop relationships with communities across the United States. Current initiatives focus on college and university students, educators, and administrators; state and local officials; local journalists; and congregational leaders and representatives of faith-based organizations.
Under the direction of the Local Journalists Initiative lead and the vice president and director of the National Program and Outreach department, the program associate supports the work of the Local Journalists Initiative, which helps print, broadcast, and digital-first journalists draw connections between the local issues they cover and national and international dynamics.

Program Manager, Fellowship Affairs
CFR’s Fellowship Program offers unique opportunities for mid-career and senior-career professionals focusing on international relations. The program affords fellows the opportunity to broaden their perspective of foreign affairs and to pursue proposed research, with a placement at CFR or another institution in New York City, Washington, DC, or selective international locations.
The program manager will report to the director of fellowship affairs on all activities related to the fellowship program. The program manager will be part of a dynamic team working on activities in both Washington, DC, and New York.
