Pierre Yared is a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. He is the MUTB professor of international business and vice dean for executive education at Columbia Business School. Yared is also an advisor to Rokos Capital Management. His work focuses on macroeconomic policy, including fiscal policy, central banking, and the international role of the U.S. dollar.
From 2025 to 2026, Yared served on the White House Council of Economic Advisers, first as a member and then as acting chairman. He previously served as senior vice dean for faculty affairs at Columbia Business School.
Yared received his AB in economics from Harvard University and his PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
