Atiku Abubakar is not going to accept supinely the results of yesterday’s ruling PDP convention, which selected Goodluck Jonathan to be the party’s presidential candidate in April. Already Abubakar’s people have said they will not sign the PDP primary results and may well be teeing up for a court challenge. But the legal process can last for months and therefore would not likely have much bearing on the April presidential polling.

I suspect Atiku is already in contact with important opposition figures about next steps.
